Work is being done around the Mother Center to enhance and showcase the natural beauty of the site.  Recently beloveds gathered for a work weekend to clear the brush and fallen trees blocking the view of the stream that runs in front of the to-be-created mineral springs bathing facility.  Here are pictures of their hard work and rewarding outcome!

After all the fundraising, after all the surveying and planning and consulting, the work on the Mother Center main road is finally happening!  Thanks to everyone who donated to the Unity Campaign this year and last, and those who made specific contributions to this ROAD project, we have the funds we need ($86,000!) and work has begun.  Al hamdulillah!

There are several aspects to the improvements:

• widening sections so the driveable surface so that two cars can pass comfortably;
• softening some of the curves;
• modifying some of the grade so that it is less steep;
• adding roadside markers, and
• resurfacing at the entrance and at the top of the parking lot.

Subhanallah, al hamdulillah, la illaha ilalla Allahu Ahkbar!  2011 has been an amazing year, initiating the expansion of services and revenue producing programs which we have long prayed for.  Thank you for the love, time, and money that you have given to SSC in order to make this possible! 

Everything we have comes from our most Generous and Merciful Lord, and we are but the vessels and pathways of His Divine Orders.  The board members and staff of the Shadhiliyya Sufi Communities (SSC) work hard to keep our organization aligned so that we can be His ever-expanding doorway for Sidi’s teachings in this country.  As Allah’s hands and hearts, your participation is vital to accomplishing this mission.  As one hand, one heart we all serve Allah.

Here are a few of the projects and initiatives accomplished or begun this year.  

Strategic Goal: Community Support and Development

The SSC and USHS Boards have committed to working together to support one another and the national tariqa in several ways in the coming years.  Together, as one hand, one heart, we believe we can be more successful in bringing the flag of unity to every home and reaching more people with the message of Peace, Love, Mercy, Justice and Freedom, inshallah. 

Sidi is pleased with SSC and USHS working together in a new way, with the new developments and projects, and he is excited about the long term vision of being able to host the many visitors to the Mother Center who are in need of healing.
